History of the Lancaster Office
Established in 1976 as Susquehanna Administrators, the CoreSource Lancaster office now administers health benefits for more than 70 self-funded groups, including the largest CoreSource client with more than 53,000 members. In addition to successfully meeting the needs of schools and hospitals, Lancaster serves government entities as well as clients in the industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, automotive, media and printing industries.
In 1985, Lancaster launched a utilization review program, which has grown significantly to become a core competency for the organization. Lancaster now provides healthcare management services to nearly 900,000 members covered by plans administered by CoreSource and our parent company, Trustmark.
After Trustmark acquired CoreSource in 1997, our company moved to a more centralized business model. In addition to healthcare management services, Lancaster began to offer funding and sales support to other regional CoreSource offices and continues to do so.
The office, located in downtown Lancaster, employs some 300 employees who perform claims processing and member services as well as eligibility and account management for local clients.
