Client Solutions

53,000+ Member Statewide Plan

Our relationship with one of our largest customers, a client that sponsors health plans for more than 53,000 participants, has grown from providing administrative services and customer service into a collaborative partnership that delivers innovative and valuable results. Because of the close relationship, we were able to launch special features, such as a walk-in office for retirees and their dependents at a location close to the client’s offices. And, we introduced an Elder Care program, which provides retirees with a valuable resource for understanding the intricacies of Medicare. We also provide administration services for the client-sponsored voluntary group health insurance plan for retirees and their dependents. Under the plan, there are two programs: one for those eligible for Medicare and another for those not eligible for Medicare.

World-Class Healthcare System

Our largest hospital client is a non-profit healthcare system comprised of two main hospitals and more than 21,100 affiliated physicians that provide a wide array of healthcare services to nearly
5 million people.

With its dual role of provider and employer, the client’s health benefits plan incorporates use of the health system’s internal, or “domestic,” network of providers. Health benefits are provided to active employees, including out-of-area residents and retirees.

The client selected CoreSource to provide third-party administration services, beginning Sept. 1, 1997, because of our experience in developing benefit plans that promote use of the domestic network with careful management of any services outside of the internal network.

In customizing a solution for this client, we:

  • Addressed all aspects of network management and communications
  • Supported the hospital’s existing point-of-service plan design
  • Administered benefit differentials for domestic, in-network and out-of-network services

Currently, we administer the client’s plan for nearly 8,000 lives and provide services for flexible spending accounts for more than 1,200 participants.
