Notification

The new regulations require that employees who were involuntarily terminated may receive two notices about the subsidy:

  • A notice must be sent to newly eligible individuals who experience a COBRA-qualifying event through May 31, 2010.
  • A notice must be sent to current COBRA-eligible employees, spouses and dependents who previously received a COBRA notice without the updated subsidy information by Feb. 17, 2010.
