Nancy Eckrich — President & CEO

Nancy loves her job. Since 2010, her optimistic, solutions-focused leadership style has challenged the organization to continue to evolve and innovate, with flexible, tailored health benefits that demonstrate clear value to employers and empower members to become confident healthcare consumers. For her, client success is CoreSource’s success. At a time of ever-increasing healthcare costs and complexity, her goal for CoreSource is to make healthcare benefits easier, more efficient, and more effective for employers and their employees. Nancy began her career at Trustmark, CoreSource’s parent company, in 1986, and progressed through the organization in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership. She chaired the Trustmark Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, for more than a decade. Away from work, she enjoys family time, doting on her three nieces, nephew, and two great-nephews. She also loves to travel and rarely turns down a good game of Bunco.

Dr. Meera Atkins — Chief Clinical Leader for Healthcare Management

At her core, Meera is a helper. It’s why she aspired to be a doctor, and why, after two decades as a board-certified physician and surgeon, she is so excited about her leadership role at CoreSource. Instead of working with one patient population at her practice, she now leads CoreSource’s Healthcare Management team (responsible for more than 1.3 million members) and also assists other Trustmark business units in their medical oversight. She provides strategic thought leadership and develops innovative programs to ensure members receive the best and most appropriate care. She is particularly passionate about making care accessible and helping members navigate the healthcare system. In her spare time, Meera enjoys running and training for distance events. Each winter, she looks forward to skiing with her husband Tom and two children on the powdery snow in Park City, Utah.

Kim Fiori — Region President, Central

Kim is responsible for all aspects of sales and client management, business operations support, leadership initiatives, and strategic oversight for the Central Region, which includes offices located in Charlotte, Columbus, Detroit, and Little Rock. Kim, who joined CoreSource in 2004, takes pride in instilling a culture throughout her teams to put the client first, to be advocates for members at a time when they need it the most: when they are recovering from an illness/event, or taking care of a loved one. Kim hopes to be known for mentoring employees, strategizing with employers, and helping members. She enjoys gardening, bike riding, golf, and shopping (she has a nice shoe collection).

Ben Frisch — Region President, West

Ben is responsible for all aspects of sales and client management, business operations support, leadership initiatives, and strategic oversight for the West region, which includes offices in Overland Park, Kan., Tinley Park, Ill., West Des Moines, Iowa, and Tucson, Ariz. Ben, who joined CoreSource in 1998, most enjoys solving customer problems and always directs his teams to put the customer first.  Ben and his wife have four children. He loves to travel and recently chaperoned his daughter’s class trip to Rome. In his free time Ben also enjoys reading and golf.

Steve Horvath — Vice President of Product and Marketing Strategy

Steve’s passion for simplifying self-funded benefit plans for employers and members shines through in his innovative approach to CoreSource’s product development and marketing. He is particularly proud of CoreSource’s flexible plans and responsive can-do attitude with valued clients and brokers. Steve, a more than 25-year leader with CoreSource and its parent company Trustmark, believes the company’s proactive, tailored communication empowers members to make better healthcare decisions at reduced cost. Away from work, you will often find Steve on a golf course or at his Wisconsin lake house with his wife, Amy, and children Meghan, Colin, and Bridget.

Dave Kenney — Human Resources Vice President

Dave is responsible for supporting the people and processes that help enable CoreSource to grow and thrive. He creates programs and integrates CoreSource Human Resources practices throughout the organization. After more than 20 years with Allstate Insurance Company where he worked in sales, operations, corporate communications, and human resources, Dave joined Trustmark, CoreSource’s parent company, in 2011. He was immediately drawn to the corporate values of personal, flexible, and trusted. Dave and his wife, Carol, are the parents of three adult children, Matt, Meg, and Mitch. Dave enjoys rooting for Chicago’s sports teams, slogging (slow jogging), and fishing.

Joanne E. McGowan — Vice President, Customer Experience & Strategy Execution

Joanne is responsible for continually enhancing the customer experience for CoreSource brokers, clients, and members. Whether it is big-picture strategy or the smallest of details, Joanne focuses on simplifying CoreSource’s products and services to optimize the plans for employers and to connect with members in the way that is most meaningful and relevant. This includes the implementation of a range of digital offerings that Joanne has championed. Joanne, an avid needlepointer and officer in a local needlepoint guild, has three adult children, Deidra, Nora, and Connor, who all work in the Bay Area. 

David Parrish — Vice President, Strategic Relationships & Sales Support

Dave’s ability to listen, identify shared priorities, and find consensus helps him enhance CoreSource’s key strategic relationships and lead centralized sales support teams. As he likes to say, “I try to talk to people like they are people and find a solution that works for everyone.” Since joining Trustmark, CoreSource’s parent company in 1996, Dave has demonstrated his versatility by working in a variety of areas and gaining comprehensive industry experience. He is bullish on CoreSource’s pipeline of product solutions and partnerships that reduce cost and engage members to better understand and utilize their plans. Dave and his wife, Pat, have two daughters, Alicia and Amanda. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, and has trouble saying no when his daughters request one of their favorite home-cooked meals.

Lloyd Sarrel — Chief Operating Officer

Lloyd focuses intensely on ensuring CoreSource consistently exceeds client and member expectations. To achieve this, Lloyd and his team put the customer first and “make sure we do what we say we’re going to do.” In 1990, Lloyd joined Trustmark, CoreSource’s parent company, after graduating from the University of Michigan. Demonstrating his team-first approach, Lloyd agreed to work for several years in Columbus, just minutes from the campus of archrival Ohio State. Lloyd, a member and former leader within both the Chicago Claim Association and Midwest Claim Conference Executive Committees, is a fixture on the Trustmark Foundation’s Board of Directors. Along with his wife, Keely, they have adopted many shelter animals and are ardent concert goers.

Clare Smith — Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Clare is responsible for directing CoreSource’s financial strategy and management. In her 10-year tenure, she has helped CoreSource manage through significant change to achieve efficiencies and produce profitable growth. She believes bringing innovative solutions focused on the member will serve CoreSource well as our clients as we continue to evolve to meet changing market needs.  Clare and her husband Chuck have two daughters, Devin and Mimi. Clare has traveled to six of the seven continents and all 50 states. She especially enjoys hiking trips with her family. She is always more relaxed and energized after a good session of yoga.

Brooke Terry — Chief Information Officer

Brooke’s love for technology began at age 8 when he wrote programs on a calculator he still owns. Today, after more than a quarter century at CoreSource and its parent company, Trustmark, he is responsible for overseeing all of CoreSource’s technology deliverables. Brooke is skilled at breaking down highly complex technological concepts into language that non-techies can understand. Most rewarding for Brooke is seamlessly integrating technology to enhance CoreSource’s services and products for a better member experience. Away from work, Brooke also enjoys a good challenge. He recently developed an interest in rugged travel, highlighted by a week dog sledding in sub-zero weather in Minnesota and Canada. Brooke and his wife Monique are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Rachel and Erica.

Robert Wolfkiel — Region President, Northeast

Bob is responsible for all aspects of sales and client management, business operations support, leadership initiatives, and strategic oversight for the Northeast region, which includes offices in Baltimore and Lancaster, Pa. In this role, Bob empowers his team to foster relationships and drive profitable growth. During his career in executive leadership, Bob has emphasized that it starts and ends with the team, everyone in the region is responsible for results, and always put the customer front and center. Bob and his wife Diane are the proud parents of fraternal twins Daria and Gabriella, whom they adopted from Russia. Bob enjoys traveling with his family, and his hobbies include playing golf, running, and even participating in the occasional Tough Mudder Obstacle Race.
